After what’s been by far the most exciting week for Windows Phone since its release, with the rollout of version 7.5 “Mango”, and the publication of highly anticipated big-name apps like Whatsapp, Microsoft is showing its will to go the extra mile by directly listening to their customers, through a Feature Suggestions forum at Uservoice.com.
One of the most voted features suggested by the users there is the ability to create groups or folders for apps. Some sort of personal categorization. I agree, but I have already found a way to categorize my homescreen tiles with Zoubda’s “Live Tile Generator”. As you can see below, it can be very elegant. And Microsoft could simply implemente this principle adding the “horizontal pages” concept feeling of the iPhone to our vertically scrolling homescreen, so that a quick flick down scrolls down and locks the scrolling to show the next “group” of tiles.
